Baia is the perfect sunny weekend stop with good company and offers an excellent selection of cocktails and a great assortment of antipasto. Make sure you arrive by 3pm to take advantage of the 2 for 1 cocktails - Your friends will be excited and impressed.

The antipasto is top notch. I ordered the salt and pepper calamari - a must have! - Garlic bread and an assorted three cheese platter. Combined with my spiced rum old fashioned cocktail, it was a dining experience that I could not fault.

Unfortunately the overly positive experience ends there. For main course I ordered the 300g Angus rump which was average at best. The meat was not as tender as one would expect from such a well presented venue - think $10 pub steak quality. On a side note, the red wine sauce was excellent.

The last element of the day was the tiramisu accompanied by a piccolo. The tiramisu was a 1/10 at best and I was really disappointed by the experience. Not only was it lacking flavour and it was soggy, but the 3mm thick dusted chocolate powder was causing me to cough as it kept being breathed in when I took a bite. I really hope that Baia read this review and address this item as an Italian restaurant should not be serving below average tiramisu. I couldn't fault the coffee.

In summary, enjoy a drink and antipasto at Baia but cut it short there and go elsewhere for your main and dessert. I hope to re-write this review with a much more positive experience in the future!

Meh!  Super-touristy, Darling Harbor, Zoo, Aquarium trap.  Prix Fixe lunches and dinners include a decent wine or beer, ok steak or lamb cuts, and inferior Arancini in jar style marinara sauce. The servers were nice, but the service model is all turn and burn, with no real attention to persons dining. There are better options in DH

    terrible service!

Server was rude and everyone was looking around to get someone's attention.

Got our drink order wrong and was rude when we corrected them, then the bottle of wine never came out! The starter and main course came out before any drink did! Also asked for spoons with our pasta and never got that.

    Average food.

If you go here don't expect much. The shrimp was slimy and rotten, the bruschetta was good and the spaghetti was average. The wait staff is poorly trained.
